We were once again blessed to have another construction team here last week. The team of twelve worked hard and completed several roofs during their week here.
It was again, a beautiful ride out to the job site.
At the first job we covered two small school buildings and replaced the old tin on the church.
Team member Dan Reljin and boss Verel working hard on the purlins. The men had all the trusses and purlins up by the end of Saturday. On Monday the tin would go on.
Ron Palitto, Tom Reljin and Duane Farney (from New York) working on setting the trusses on the second school.
Another wonderful Sunday afternoon to visit the elderly, and shut-ins! This poor women has been unable to walk for a long time. Her daughter is completely dedicated to caring for her ill mother, and does it with such a joyful attitude! She was such an inspiration!
While out visiting, we passed by this gentleman’s home. As we walked by, the pastor asked him if he was ready to surrender his life to the Lord. He promptly replied “No, I’m not yet ready”. The pastor told us he has had many conversations with him about salvation, but the man always replied “I’m not ready”. On our way back, we passed by the same man. As soon as we reached him he shouted to the pastor “I’m READY! Ready to give my life to the Lord!”. The excitement on both the mans face, and the pastors was really awesome to witness. Praise God for saving another lost soul! And also for allowing us to see God at work in the hearts of His people.
Monday went by fast as they put tin on the two schools, and replaced the old tin on the church. We ladies also finished painting the ten benches. We consumed a lot of gatorade that day! :)
We were thankful to finish that job safely, and arrive back at the compound that night.
The next job was an extension of an existing school roof. It only took a day, so we were back home that evening.
Bri Yordy playing with the Kids. The children loved the jump ropes the team brought in!
Leah and I (Alisha) had fun doing a few small crafts with the kids. They loved it!
The older kids enjoyed it too!
All done! They were excited to have something to take home.
She was all smiles! They all had fun smashing the bubbles as they were floating through the air.
The men did a great job on the roof, and us girls had a great time with the kids.
Thankful for the Lords provision and protection during the week with the Ohio team. We need and appreciate your prayers during this busy team season. It’s not by our own strength but by Gods alone!
